Crater Academy of Health & Public Services

CAHPS seeks to build a community of diverse learners who are encouraged to succeed through a variety of supportive academic and civic opportunities. CAHPS is committed to providing challenging and engaging academic programs, actively engaging students in the community through community service, civic issues, and partnerships with community-based organizations, preparing all students to ensure that they are "Future Ready" for college and/or career, ensuring that all CAHPS students are known well by multiple adults within the school, and providing internships for all seniors.

Crater School of Business Innovation Science

BIS seeks to give students a better education by aiming to maximize a student's potential and inspiring curiosity to go further – to give students the skills and tools to explore their individual passions, talents, and futures. Students gain valuable technology skills through innovative core projects in business and marketing, math, science, art and design, world languages, and the humanities. Students are encouraged to actively participate in campus-wide clubs and events, and to engage in the community through the internship program and community service opportunities.

New & Noteworthy

*** NOTICE ***

As an extra precaution for student, staff and community safety, backpacks and skateboards will no longer be allowed inside Crater's Dutch Meyer stadium for the JV or varsity football games. Please leave these items at home.

Middle school students must either sit with their parents or sit in the south end zone bleachers. Middle school students may not be on the hill for any reason other than using the restroom and purchasing items from the concession stand. Students not following these rules will be asked to leave.

We appreciate everyone’s cooperation in making Friday’s BIG game a safe and successful event.

We highly recommend you use a head & shoulder shot as shown on the right because it shows who you really are at this amazing time in your life!

Photos must be portrait orientation – any photo set in landscape will be adjusted to portrait to fit our page layout for the senior photo pages in the yearbook.

Senior Quote and Fun Pic

Submit a quote that is meaningful to you and a fun/different than senior picture of you to put alongside your quote. Note: we will use your student body photo for students that do NOT turn in a fun picture.

The rising Comets compete in the 5A Midwestern League in all major sports.
