The following scholarship information has been compiled to assist you in your scholarship search. It is our hope that you find it a useful tool to connect funding that make it possible for you to reach your educational dreams.

We recognize that there are many effective, web-based scholarship search sites already available. As you use the scholarship data base, you will find that we have provided links to a number of these sites. Please use the data base as a springboard for your search. Scholarship information listed in the data base does not attempt to exhaust or duplicate information available elsewhere. Rather, it is an attempt to highlight scholarship opportunities for our students and our community members.

TIPS:

• Follow the directions and submit complete, on-time applications.

• If you have questions or need help visit your advisor in room #25 at Crater.

• Have someone proofread your applications and essays before you submit them.

• If you do not find a scholarship opportunity that fits you, keep looking.

(Most sites are updated on a continual basis, as information becomes available).

• Don’t just apply for one; apply for all scholarships that are a fit for you.

• Keep a copy (electronic is best) of everything you submit.

(You may want to use it again, have to re-submit it, or be asked to refer to it.

LETTERS OF RECOMMENDATION:

• When asking for letters of recommendation give the person a minimum of two weeks to complete it.

• Have a resume or outline of your accomplishments, awards, interests, and educational or vocational goals.
  
• Be sure to thank them.
