About Crater High School(s)3

Crater is home to three unique academies: Crater Academy of Health and Public Services, Crater School of Business Innovation Science, and the Crater Renaissance Academy. Each academy is distinctive in its overall educational philosophy, in the organization of curriculum and classes, and in the conceptual framework for which it is centered; for example, CAHPS' core is powered by civic engagement, BIS' cornerstone rests on real world applications and technology, and CRA's nucleus revolves around a positive school culture and educating well-rounded students.

Crater's innovative, three-school structure gives students the personalization and tight-knit community of a charter school with the extra-curricular options of a traditional high school.

Each academy is in a position to offer students what most large, comprehensive high schools cannot: personalization and a strong community. Students select an academy based on their personal interests and learning style, and each academy offers unique programs and classes to extend their learning and high school experience. By going small, students are known by more teachers, which is essential to developing a community of successful students. In today's educational trends, charter schools dominate the leader board. Crater's innovative three-school structure gives students the personalization and tight-knit community of a charter school with the extra-curricular options of a traditional high school.

While the three academies might offer a unique variety of elective course options, each is committed to providing a world-class education and preparing students for the post-secondary world. Each school is fully accredited by the Northwest Accreditation Commission (NWAC).
