The Job Council WIA Summer Youth Employment Program - 2009

Federal Stimulus funds have been allocated to the WIA Program to expand 2009 summer paid work experience jobs.  Youth 14 to 24 years old, may be eligible for these jobs.  The "summer" period will be May 1 through September 30, 2009.   Applications are available now at the Job Council. Call 776-5100 and talk to Tiffany or Cindy for more information. The schools also have applications available. There are two different kinds of work experience - work crews working on forestry projects and individual work experience, in which efforts are made to match a site with interests. The youth need to have an ID (student card is okay)  and social security card when they have their eligibility interview.

Fishbowl Info
FISHBOWL - Only had 2 people interested in participating in another Fishbowl to get a higher grade - interested? If so email Rogan today - last day to sign up
FISHBOWL Journal - Interested in getting a higher score? Do the following by Thursday. Missed an article - make it up - read it and detail it. Missing scores on individuals? Go back and think through the presentations on how you would have scored them - then do it. In your journal, title a page Journal Update - put in the date - then write how you could be more effective using your journal and how you will be more effective in the future. Lastly, bring the book to the box next to my desk after class on Wednesday if you want the regrade. Rogan
