- Week 7
TUESDAY - 1.26 - FRIDAY - 1.29
- Get all your work in!
- Photoshoot - Each of you will make a Photoshoot of yourself with a minimum of 18 pictures of you and then also have images that show your name (Carmen). You can work in groups of 2 or 3 ( I have 5 cameras)
- Make a folder on your desktop with your name and then Save images to your desktop. This will lead to a 30 second video of you! Pictures are due to class by ??? (We will decide today)
You need to incorporate photos that use the different types of Seven Basic Shot Types (you will be graded on this)
- Then - Introduction to SAM- download Sam on to your computer
- Later this week - View and grade all of your Mt. A commercials (all class) - bring headphones if you have them -you will turn in your scoresheet.
WEDNESDAY
1. Grade Mt. A Videos - Give it a second to load. If your video is not listed, it is not done.
I have the scoresheets - on the front table - do for all classes
2, Add all your photos to your video production folder and put a link to that folder on your worklinks

Time to start using your time wisely! I am worried about many of you and the lack of focus shown toward completing this project.
Week 10
Tuesday - 2.16 - 2.19
TUESDAY and WEDNESDAY
Due to unforeseen life happenings as well as the slow moving wheel of creativity the Photostory - Group Stop Action which was due Feb. 12 is now due by the end of class on Wednesday, Feb. 17. We will be showing them on Thursday in class.
In order for you (and your group) to receive full credit for completion, you must do the following:
- Finish the Photostory - Group Stop Action - this includes:
- Proper length
- Music
- Film production Logos at the start
- Credits at the end
- Saved correctly
- Save your movie correctly - in Premiere you need to export it and then save it as a Quicktime (.mov) into your U drive - MovieMaker - save as an avi
- Automatic letter grade drop if you have it saved incorrectly
- Save it in your week 10 folder
- Link it on your worklinks
- Automatic letter grade drop if you do not have it linked up by the end of class on Wednesday
- Only one member of the group needs to have the actual movie linked up - all others in the group should put the correct day on their worklinks and in the comments box tell me who has the movie linked up on their worklinks
- Email me at mike.rogan@district6.org who has the movie linked up on their worklinks. I only need an email from one group member - if your group does not send me an email you will be docked points.
- If your group does not have the assignment done on Wednesday, the highest grade you can receive will be a C.
THURSDAY
Regarding - Photostory - Group Stop Action - Only Chelse Hicks Group and Ryan Andrews Group have the potential to get full credit (see above numbers 3 and 4)
FRIDAY
- New Assignment - Public Service Announcement Assignment - PSA - ( from Franklin HS in Elk Grove, CA) - you will need headphones - sorry I only have about 3 left
- Do the assignment in Word and save in your week 10 folder as PSA (ignore the school loop instruction) - this assignment is worth 15 points (link up to your worklinks too
- Then, your job will be to then find a PSA of your own (actually, not of your own - but one that has been created that you remember - find a link to it - and in the same Word document describe it and tell why it is good or bad. (10 points). Put this in the same Word doc.
Movie Day - next Thursday - bring popcorn! We will watch and grade our class stop actions. (I will be at DECA State on Tuesday and Wednesday)
Week 10

Score Videos (as a class we will watch) - this is worth 18 points
Evaluate your group members - in an email to me - Subject: Group Stop Action (to mike.rogan@district6.org) you are to evaluate:
- Each member of your group
- Yourself
- Comment on how much work each person put in - how well you worked together and what grade you would give each person
This is worth 25 points
Week 11

Final Assignment - Two - 30 Second Commercials Selling 2 Different Products
- Requirements -
- Must have video (shot and edited) - we have 4 small RCA wonders and 3 digital cameras with video
- Must be appropriate (product, etc.)
- Must have a storyboard and a written script completed prior to any filming being done (turned in and approved by Rogan)
- (Groups of 3 - if you make a group larger than three then you need to add on one 30 second spot for each person added)
