RCC College Courses

Sophomores and Juniors:
If you have taken the placement test for RCC and are interested in taking one or two courses this summer to work toward a certificate in one of the programs funded by the Morris Foundation (Electronics Technology, Basic Health Care, Business Technology, Construction Technology, or Early Childhood Education)please fill out a white sheet to schedule a visit with Mrs. Hartt. Note:  Not all courses may be available for summer term. 

Summer School

Summer School Credit Retrieval Registration Forms are available from Mrs. Hartt.  Please fill out a white sheet to schedule an appointment to visit with her about summer school.  Current seniors closest to meeting the graduation requirements will get first priority.

Oregon Online Summer Courses

Oregon Online is now accepting registration for summer coursework.  Pick up a packet at the front office and follow the procedure attached to the paperwork.  Determine which course(s) are needed, pay the bookkeeper, attach the receipt to registration paperwork, and submit paperwork to box in the front office that says:  "Completed Oregon Online Applications."  Please fill out a white sheet to schedule a visit with Mrs. Hartt if you have any questions.

Senior Important Dates!

Senior Graduation Information – 2011

May 10, Tuesday – Extra ticket sign-up begins (not a first come first serve sign up)

May 24th, Tuesday – Pick up cap and gown during lunch near the Band Room

May 26th, Thursday – Pick up clearance slip from 1st class of the day.  Take it to each class for clearance signatures

May 26, Thursday – Last day of classes – Last day to clear incompletes

May 31, Tuesday – Graduation Practice - MANDATORY
                             (if you plan to walk in ceremony)

Report to the gym about 8:45 as practice will start at 9:00 a.m. sharp
(*girls please wear the shoes you will wear in the ceremony)

          Baccalaureate practice will follow graduation practice.  Baccalaureate is a religious-based
commencement ceremony organized and conducted by community clergy members. 
Participation is optional.  Dale Bitterling, a local youth pastor, coordinates this event.  Anyone
wishing to speak or perform should contact Dale at 541-261-0173.

May 31, Tuesday – Last day to clear fees with the bookkeeper by 3:30 p.m.
Students failing to clear fees will be allowed to walk, but will not receive their diploma at the
Graduation Ceremony on June 1st.

May 31, TuesdayBACCALAUREATE – OPTIONAL 7:00 pm in the Auditorium
* Report to the Auditorium at 6:30 pm
* Attire is to be the same as graduation

June 1, Wednesday – Graduation Practice – MANDATORY
* Report to the gym about 8:45, practice will start at 9:00 a.m. sharp
* Wear cap & gown over street clothes

June 1, WednesdayGRADUATION DAY!
* Report to gym at 7:00 pm
* Ceremony begins at 8:00 pm
Attire:          Girls – Light colored dress & light shoes
Boys – Dark slacks, collared shirt & tie, dress shoes.
NO JEANS, NO TENNIS SHOES

PURCHASE A PROFESSIONAL QUALITY DVD OF THE GRADUATION CEREMONY
DVD’s of the Commencement Ceremony will be available for $20.00.  See the entire graduation ceremony from start to finish.  A professional video crew from the ESD will record the ceremony.

  • The plastic case containing the DVD has a picture of the class of 2011 on its cover.
  • The DVD itself will include graphics identifying each speaker and a close-up of each student as they walk across the stage to receive their diploma.

Families wishing to purchase the DVD must come to the Bookkeeper at Crater and pay in advance and leave their mailing address and phone number.  The DVD’s will be mailed out in the weeks following the ceremony.
