Crater FFA Alumni

Oregon FFA Alumni Motto

If your plan is for a year, plant wheat.

If your plan is for ten years, plant trees.

If your plan is for a lifetime, educate a child.

Why have a local FFA Alumni Affiliate?

Whether you were a FFA member or not, you can join the FFA Alumni Association and be a part of an organization that prides itself on in helping make FFA students' lives better. Your commitment helps ensure the continued success of America's premier youth leadership organization.

With the increased diversity of agricultural education programs, it is becoming more difficult for advisors/teachers to keep up with all the additional activities. Former FFA members and interested adults are a natural resource of help and support. Focus is on new technology in agriculture and agribusiness; therefore, it is important to involve all types of people in your community. An FFA Alumni Affiliate can unify the local community to support agricultural education and FFA activities and proved valuable assistance to agriculture advisors. With the FFA Advisor coordinating activities, the FFA Alumni can provide hands, hearts and minds to ensure success.

Personal involvement is the key to success in keeping interest in any program. The FFA Alumni not only provides this opportunity, but also helps to educate the community on what agricultural education and the FFA is all about. A community that understands is more willing to lend support.

Agriculture teachers rely on FFA alumni members to heal ease the outside commitments of teaching, bring more support to agricultural education programs and give teachers more time to do what they do best - teach kids!

FFA relies on FFA Alumni members for student recruiting, scholarship money, aiding in conferences, national FFA convention and other personal development programs. The high level of commitment the FFA Alumni offers the FFA program and the communities in which they live, helps make the FFA students' lives better.

Your decision to become an FFA Alumni member starts a chain reaction of benefits - for you, for today's FFA members and for future generations of agriculture students.

Prior membership in FFA is not required to become an Alumni member. All that is required to join is an interest in agricultural education for our youth and willingness to become involved. Come join us at a meeting or event and see what the Crater FFA Alumni is all about!
