Crater High School Communication Audit Report (Entire Document - English)

  Leslie Consulting conducted 18 focus groups in December of 2005. The focus group interviews involved more than 200 participants. The purpose was to:

• Identify strengths, concerns, and issues;
• Identify what students should know and be able to do when they graduate from Crater;
• Determine how Crater High School currently informs and engages staff, students, parents and community members;
• Identify hopes, fears and ideas for the small schools initiative and;
• Identify ideas for improving the school and communications between and among parents, students, community members, administrators and staff.

The report is divided into six sections: Introduction and Methodology, Executive Summary, Findings, Small Schools, Recommendations and Next Steps. The findings include information on how participants view Crater High School including identification of strengths, challenges and opportunities. The Small Schools section includes information on participant’s hopes, fears and ideas for the small schools implementation.
